An attractive tight copy in contemporary blind-stamped panelled full calf, with contrasting red morocco labels. Slightly rubbed and marked on extremities.

Yarrell's classic survey was first published 1835-6 with two supplementary parts added in 1839. The present edition, in which some supposed species are suppressed and new ones added, contains in all two hundred and sixty species.
